KAPAMILYA YOUNG ACTOR AJ PEREZ LAID TO REST

After the 9 a.m. mass at the main chapel of The Christ The King Parish in Quezon City, the body of young actor AJ Perez was laid to rest at Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.

Present in the mass were AJ's family, friends out of showbiz, celebrities including his co-stars from Star Magic and his classmates from La Salle Greenhills where he recently graduated from high school. ABS-CBN big wigs were also present to pay respect for the last time.

On Monday, it was reported that President Noynoy Aquino III came on the final night of AJ's wake. 

On Palm Sunday, AJ's body was laid at La Salle Greenhills and after a few days, he was transferred at The Christ The King Parish. 

His favorite blanket and a pair of rubber shoes as well as the watch he gave his younger brother Angelo were placed inside the casket, report says.

Meanwhile, AJ's corneas were already donated to two lucky beneficiaries namely Lawrence Villanueva and eight-year-old boy Daniel de los Santos. The former has his successful cornea transplant last week while Daniel was reported to have his operation today.

It was first reported that the blind singer Fatima Soriano shall receive the donation however; her doctor confirmed that the cornea of AJ won't help the young singer because her problem is her eye retina.

It could be remembered that the young actor was killed in a vehicular accident in Tarlac City on Palm Sunday while on their way to Manila. The sudden demise of AJ was then blamed to multiple head injuries. However, autopsy says his ribs which pierced through his heart and lungs killed the actor.
