The fantasy-series 100 Days To Heaven has started its airing on May 9 (2011). I now seldom watch tv so I haven't seen the series in full. I only saw it as a 'commercial ad'.
But these past few days during dinner, I've got the chance to watch some episodes and I found it as an excellent craft and different from any other series on tv. It's really worth watching while having your meal. In addition, the theme song of the series "Mahiwaga" sung by the blind singer Fatima Soriano completes the heart-pounding series.
The series is directed by Malu L. Sevilla shown from Mondays thru Fridays right after TV Patrol and starred by Coney Reyes as Anna Manalastas and Xyriel Manabat as Young Anna Manalastas.
SYPNOSIS
100 Days to Heaven tells a story of Anna Manalastas (Coney Reyes), a strict boss of The Toy Company. Due to her painful past, she became a cold and unkind person. Employees of the company are either afraid of her or hold grudges against her because of her strict and authoritarian attitude towards them and others. One evening, she was killed in a car explosion and her soul went into a place where she was met on the Gates by St. Peter. Instead of going to hell, St. Peter gave her a chance to live again for 100 days with a mission but in her childhood form (Xyriel Manabat). Her mission was to find all the people that she had hurt and correct her wrongdoings with the help of her new friends Sophia (Jodi Sta. Maria), Bruce (Smokey Manaloto), and Jopet (Neil Coleta). If her mission is successful, she'll go to heaven.
Ms. Anna Manalastas is the mean, icy and cunning owner of a toy empire. One day, the car she is in explodes. Upon her death, Anna realizes she is about to go to Hell. But being a good negotiator, she strikes a deal with the Gate Keeper to give her a second chance at earning a ticket to Heaven. Anna is given 100 days to do good to those she had wronged in her life. But it won’t be as easy as she expects. Once on earth, she realizes that she is not back as her old self but as a helpless 7-year old. Witness how a child with a cold heart resolves her issues on her way to the gates of heaven.
